Laine is a founder and Board Chair of the Alberta IoT Association, started in 2017 by a volunteer board of industry leaders seeking to position Alberta as a worldwide center of excellence for Internet of Things technology.
For his professional role, Laine works as a Director of Software Engineering for Geoforce, providing asset management solutions for the Oil & Gas industry and others. Laine works on leading software design and development teams focused on research and development, cross-company engineering initiatives and collaboration in the world of IoT/M2M focused on evolving visibility for customers using sensors and connectivity.
