Larry Wright is an accomplished professional with a passion for leveraging technology to drive efficiency and innovation in the energy industry. After graduating from the University of North Texas with a Marketing degree in 2001, he embarked on a career that would witness significant advancements in the field of photography and make an impact on the oil and gas (O&G) sector.
He began the journey at Flash Photography, a leading agency in Texas, where he recognized the transformative potential of digital tools over traditional analog film. As he immersed himself in the world of developers and outside industry partners, Larry spearheaded the successful conversion to digital photography. His efforts culminated in the efficient processing of over 250 universities and schools, capturing and processing 250,000 graduates in a single month.
In 2008, Larry made a seamless transition to the O&G industry, joining Stratum Holdings. As the operations manager, he played a pivotal role in integrating multiple subsidiaries spanning across Texas, Louisiana, and Canada. His focus on bringing value through resource optimization, cost reduction, and streamlined workflows revolutionized decision-making processes. Embracing emerging technologies, Larry updated data-related field tasks to enhance management reporting efficiencies.
The journey continued at Lime Rock Resources in 2014 with the goal of scaling up reporting systems, improving integrations, and fostering new departmental communications. As the company ventured into the realm of data analytics, Larry played a key role in migrating production systems to align with Lime Rock’s new direction.
Larry’s commitment to continuous growth led him to enroll in the esteemed MBA in Energy program at the University of Oklahoma. Graduating in 2017 with Honors, he ranked third in his class, reflecting his dedication to learning and staying at the forefront of the industry.
