As Director, Innovation, Rob oversees the development of technology and innovation that will help Cenovus achieve decarbonization plans, while reducing costs and increasing revenue across the value chain. Rob has been involved in the oil and gas industry for 20 years and has extensive experience in major capital projects, asset development, corporate strategy,
operations and corporate real estate.
He joined Cenovus’s predecessor company in 2007 and has held increasingly senior roles across various areas of the company including, Senior Manager, Operations Excellence, Development Lead, New Resource Plays and Senior Specialist, Corporate Strategy. Rob’s wide exposure to, and deep understanding of, Cenovus’s operations has informed his work towards advancing innovation and sustainability opportunities in various areas of the company’s business.
Rob holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan.
